Hardiman’s Hotel is extremely proud to be showcasing Mike Neilson’s story of Panhead Custom Ales with a 16 tap takeover as our very first Good Beer Week event.

Having reopened in September 2018, the Hardiman’s Hotel renovation was more than a simple lick-of-paint; we wanted to ensure that the extensive rebuild was matched with a modern pub philosophy. Integral to this is Hardiman’s Hotel devotion to offering top quality brews.

Of course, this ties in perfectly with Mike Neilson’s passion and dedication to beer. A tried-and-tested tale of a devoted homebrewer who took a massive leap into commercial brewing. Born in an old Dunlop tyre factory, Panhead beers are a mix of well-considered classics and recklessly awesome experimentation.

The Hardiman’s Panhead Custom Ales tap takeover launch will be a swan-dive into their diverse range of brews with 16 taps available on the night - not only showcasing their amazing core range but also some debut and limited release beers, many of which, until now, have only been available to try at the Panhead Brewery in Upper Hutt (NZ).

The Panhead crew from Upper Hutt will be available on the night to take you through their process, answer any questions and of course throw back some froths! There will also be a pinball competition on the evening with some awesome prizes on offer.
